Nor-Shipping 2007 Review
From June 12th until June 15th, FURUNO exhibited at the Norwegian Deep Sea exhibition NorSipping 2007 in Lillestroem, Norway. The exhibition was arranged by FURUNO Norway (FNAS) with assistance from FURUNO European Branch Office (FEBO). Mr. Trond Strømmen, the new Managing Director of FNAS, made a debut at the exhibition as a member of FURUNO, having successfully led the team and hosted the visitors. FEBO provided a nice presentation of the VOYAGER INS with visual simulator. The simulator attracted many visitors and gave FURUNO a good opportunity to talk with existing and new customers about FURUNO's deep sea products with focus on VOYAGER INS and the many services provided by FURUNO.
FURUNO INSTC was strongly represented by Mr. Ken H. Jensen and Ms. Tina Moenster, who used the opportunity to promote the education products and ideas of FURUNO. The visitors showed great interest in FURUNO's training programmes and training facilities.
Another feature on the stand was the special DNV NAUT-OSV bridge solution, which has been specially developed by FURUNO Norway to meet the demands governed by DNV NAUT-OSV rules. The bridge system and layout is optimised to meet the requirements of the offshore supply vessels, which operates under special and tough conditions. The offshore new building business is booming these days and Norwegian ship building industries is very strong in this segment, therefore FURUNO Norway decided to make an extra effort to promote their DNV NAUT-OSV solution.
Besides the involvement of FURUNO Norway, FURUNO Electric Co., Ltd., Japan and FURUNO European Branch Office, Denmark, the exhibition was supported by many FURUNO subsidiary companies and national distributors, such as FURUNO Finland, FURUNO Sweden, FURUNO Denmark, FURUNO Germany, FURUNO Spain and Italian distributor Arimar. A warm thank you is sounded to these companies and their representatives, who supported the promotion of FURUNO and ensured that our international customers could meet with their local representative.
With 13,800 visitors and four large halls packed with equipment and 842 companies exhibiting the Nor-Shipping 2007 was a great success.
