This is a training course specially designed for crew on new-buildings. The objective is to give the trainees a general routine in operating the INS Bridge.
The course is carried out in accordance with the specific INS-delivery to the shipyard. The training complies with the STCW-95 IMO code, and includes the basic ECDIS knowledge. The training is completed with a review on the trainee’s performance and a diploma.
The INS training course is scheduled for the duration of either 4 or 5 days.
To ensure the quality of the course and to ensure that all trainees get maximum outcome of the course, the maximum registration is 8 persons for 4 or 5 days training for each class.
We can also offer to combine the ECDIS and INS training. Such a combination will take 7 days (not incl. the weekend). The first 5 days is reserved for ECDIS training and the last 2 days is reserved for INS training.
The combination of the ECDIS and the INS will save you 2 days, as the INS course also contains elements of the ECDIS training, thus the INS course can be done in 2 days. Furthermore it will save some traveling expenses, since the trainees can attend both courses at once.
