Background
INSTC is located in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The INSTC was established in March 2005. The aim to educate members onboard vessels with the FURUNO Integrated Navigation System and Communication Equipment installed. Since then, INSTC has successfully completed more than 50 training courses for crew members who mainly operate the FURUNO Integrated Navigation System "INS VOYAGER".
The INSTC provides education in the basic theory, combined with practical use of the ECDIS. The trainees will obtain the relevant skills to navigate a specific vessel equipped with the Integrated Bridge System, by use of the MAN-Machine Interface (MMI).
Quality
The INSTC complies with the standards governing the USCG (United States Coast Guard) of simulators, as laid down in STCW-95 (Standard of Training , Certification and Watch Keeping), A-1/12. All the training Courses provided at INSTC comply with the STCW-95 IMO convention, and the IMO Resolution A.817 (19), MSC 64(7), annex 5 and MSC, 868709, annex 4.
The FURUNO INSTC has been rewarded the certificate of Approval by DNV (Det Norske Veritas) for the ECDIS training Course.
All our training is carried out on a full mission navigation simulator, which gives the trainee the opportunity to operate the system in awkward situations and in a realistic environment.

We are located at Hammerholmen 44-48, DK-2650 Hvidovre in Denmark.
